My father aged 65 (taking medication for sugar and bp) suffered by severe fever, restless and leg swellings. After visiting a nephrologist he found that its cellulitis on his left leg. Noe his leg swollen and red patches are there in calf muscles. Doctor advised to give piperacillin and tazobactam ip 4.5 g i.v for 5 days at 8 hours interval. Now 4th day he is alright. But swelling not fully decreased and redness fully its there. Should I give any other medicine or treatment further. Kindly suggest doctor. Thank you.
